When Hurricanes reach land, they can cause devastating damage. They can kill people, destroy houses and buildings and sometimes destroy a whole city. In the last 200 years, over 1.5 million people have been killed in Hurricanes. Wind causes about 83% of the damage in a Hurricane. Wreckage from buildings can be turned into deadly flying pieces. Flooding also occurs when rainfalls or storm surges pour water onto land. There is a possibility of indirect deaths from Hurricanes, this is from the poor sanity in some cities.
