Hurricanes are classified into different categories depending on their strength and location. The National Hurricane Center classify the Hurricanes on the Saffir-Simpson scale. The Saffir-Simpson scale numbers the different types of Hurricanes 1-5. 5 being over 250 kmh, 4 being between 210-24 kmh, 3 being between 178-209 kmh, 2 being 154-177 kmh and 1 being between 119-153 kmh. There is also two additional classifications:
-Tropical Storm (between 63-117 kmh)
-Tropical Depression (between 0-62 kmh)
-Tropical Storm (between 63-117 kmh)
-Tropical Depression (between 0-62 kmh)
